There was nothing like seeing 400 fresh-faced riders waiting at the Füssen Start line at 8am this morning, especially knowing what the faced ahead! 148km with 2.566m of climbing! At the start, it was still cloudy, but the sun came out quickly.
Stage 3 is probably the hardest stage. However, you shouldn't underestimate stage 2. Hantennjoch is not famous, but it's tough. Sometimes it's steep; sometimes it's windy. It's a mountain to suffer, that's for sure! It took the fastest rider less than an hour. However, the majority needed longer. Knowing in the end, they also have to climb up to Nauders.
The riders experienced a grand stage. We can't wait to hear their stories and to see their phone pictures and videos. Right now it's 23:00. The whole crew is preparing vehicles, batteries and SD cards for the mighty Stelvio stage.
See you tomorrow
