RAD RACE Tour De Espana 2015

From Xativa through Valencia to Eslida together with Luis from 5 SHILLINGS. Luis lead us through an amazing track that brought the group together a lot.

After yesterday we needed a group ride so bad. So with Luis and Ingo (who took his first ride after 7.5 weeks and a horrible crash at the Hamburg Cyclassics) we had 2 new team members that brought some new sprit into the gang. The first 80k to Valencia were just flying by so fast with an average speed of 35k or so. We were riding in two lines and worked together so great.

We had an awesome break in Valencia and Luis took us to anamazing local Tapas place in Valencia central. Thanks man, we loved it. We hung out there a little too much maybe (so we ended up at our place in Eslida in the dark again…)

Pretty close behind Valencia we hit some climbs that weren’t for sure not the worst ones of the trip but maybe some of the most stunning roads and views. We saw so many cyclists today so if you can make it out here anytime we can only recommend to bring your bike since the streets and people and tracks are just insanely great.

Ingo lost his stamina in the climbs somewhere but Carlos, Jan and Carl pushed him so he made it to the crew bus that was waiting on top of the mountain. The rest of the crew had to take another climb and we arrived in the beautiful village of Eslida around 8.

Tomorrow is the longest stage of the whole tour. 212k. So far we don’t know if we will manage that… But let’s see. We’re in good sprits again.

The awards for the most stupid actions of today by the way go to Axel who wanted to ride the Canyon Aeroad so bad. So far that’s not stupid. The insane thing about it is that the chain was missing for this bike. We only got a new one for tomorrow so he rode it only downhill without a chain. Plus he tied himself on a rope behind the bus and we pulled him for a while. Look mum no hands…

Thanks for following us and ride safe!

The kids all ride.
