Here's some final info about the RAD RACE Fixed42 World Championships and your weekend plan...
Saturday, June 17:
2pm - 8pm: Registration & Starter Kit Hand Out & Meet & Greet
at Watergate Club, Falckensteinstr. 49, 10997 Berlin
Mandatory for all riders.
Our dear friend Pete Görlitz will tattoo on Saturday from 2-8pm in the Watergate club.
No dates, walk-ins only. First come, first served.
We cannot be happier to see ya'll in Berlin for the third time. Swing by, enjoy a drink and chill with 700 riders from all over the globe. This is RAD RACE - meeting new people and have the time of your life. Enjoy!
Sunday, June 18:
8am - 9am: Arrival at START AREA:
Ludwigsfelde, Berlin - Potsdamer Str./ Höhe Rathausplatz
14974 Ludwigsfelde (Take the train from Berlin Hauptbahnhof - Ludwigsfelde).
Trains are departing approximately every half an hour and take between 20 and 30 minutes. Just keep in mind that there are hundreds of riders and it won't be possible for y'all to take the same train. Maybe aim for a very early one so you have some spare time.
When you reached the train station in Ludwigsfelde the only thing you have to do is find the roundabout and follow the "Potsdamer" street until you see the start area. Make sure to be at the starting area 9am latest!!! The earlier the better!
9:30 - 10am: Starting Grid:
You wanna win: first third of the grid.
You wanna roll fast: second third of the grid.
You just wanna arrive safe & sound: start in the back of the grid.
The first 2k are neutralized.
10:20am: Start Men's race!
10:23am: Start Women's race!
The women start 2 minutes after the men's starting shot. The men's and women's race will both have a leading moto! That means - especially for the women's race - every male rider is disqualified who is between the leading moto and the first female leading group. The women ride their own race. Be fair. We don't care if there are male riders behind the first female leading group BUT we do care if men are riding for women. We wanna let them have the same game!!!
The STRAVA event & GPX track
Leave Ludwigsfelde at 10:05am, right before the start, take the train to Berlin, Brandenburger Tor and head to the big finish. We expect the first riders at the finish line at appr. 11:10am.
12 - 1pm: Award ceremony
Within this time frame we will host the award ceremony right at the finish arch at Brandenburger Tor.
Lost & Found - TROUBE COUNTER
See ya'll in Berlin for some hot RAD RACE merch at the official Velothon expo at Brandenburger Tor. We're there saturday and sunday: Straße des 17. Juni (between Ebertstraße and Yitzhak-Rabin-Straße). The RAD RACE tent is also the TROUBLE DESK and LOST & FOUND just in case you're missing someone or something after the race. Free hugs from the whole RAD PACK included.
