RACE REPORT: Huge Team effort at 8bar crit in Berlin

Since one week we are back from our Grand Tour Porto - Bordeaux. We cycled 1.365 kilometers and 22.218 meters of altitude. The whole week we had sore legs. However Ingo, Jan, Max, John, Henne, Jo, Axel and Tami decided to drive to Berlin and start at the 8bar crit.

Henne started at his first fixed gear crit ever! A bit nervous about the competitors and the technical course with 11 corners on 1.000meters. However he rode a perfect qualifying, came in 6th and gained confidence for the final. Actually all of us made it to the finals.

Tami started from place 2 in the final and stayed in the front during the whole race. Always checking the other girls and their moves. In the end only Tanja Erath, Team Fixedpott could beat her.

The 85 riders in the mens' final were sorted by the qualifying results. All of us pushed pretty hard to stay in the first quarter of the peloton. Max and Jan were fighting in the front of the peloton to keep the pace high. Henne didn't just race a strong qualifying, but also a strong final. With Jo and John he also stayed in the Peloton until the end of the race. Max was leading the pack in the last lap and came in on place 6. We are super stocked, that in this super fast race 5 riders finished within top20. Max 6., Jan: 11., Jo: 14., Henne: 19., John: 20. In the end the whole team walked up to the podium, because we became second in the overall team ranking.

Super happy with these results we can't wait to race again!
